    Sig pro 2022 Swiss made

I have an older Sigpro in 40 and I have always liked it a bunch. It may not be the perfect gun for me, but it has always worked well.

    New Toy For Me...Glock 36

I use a 36 as a carry gun and I overall like it. However, when I first got it, I had to send it to Glock due to reliability issues (about 4% failure rate). Since then, it has done the BELT advanced CWP class and MAG-20 class with excellent results. I found the stock Glock magazine base...

    Newbie in Summerville.

There is a group that meets at the Palmetto Gun Club. Their matches are open to the public, but I think you need to join the range to be part of their "posse" (could not resist). http://www.palmettogunclub.org/cas/index.html

    1911 gunsmith near Greenville

I know it's outside of your geographical boundries, but Dale Hanna in Summerville does really good work. I have trusted him with a pretty big 1911 rebuild, and he did not let me down. He is "Half-cocked" on this forum, and I'm sure could help arrange shipping the gun to him. Here is a link...

    Practice/Range Pistol..........

I also have a RIA 9mm, and I love that gun. Sometimes it goes to show you can't judge a gun by a price tag. I could see looking at thinner grips, but out of the box, it is just super fun. I'm very happy with the reliability and accuracy.

Where do you guys carry your phone?

So, I'm basically a front pocket j-frame kinda guy, but have recently started belt carry (untucked button down shirt) with a semi auto. However, I still keep a phone case on my belt with a smart phone in it, and I'm a little nervous that I'm going to reveal my gun when going for my phone...

Think we will ever get to this in the US?

Will we ever get to this in the U.S. ? I hope not. Let us remember that Israel is so well armed because they are surrounded by enemies who want nothing more than to destroy them. While I appreciate the cultural comfort with a well armed citizenry, I'd just as soon not ever have America in a...

    308 AR Scope

Ted, sounds like great prices! Do you know if the "calibration" for 55gr 223 rounds makes the AR series a bad choice for the 308 ? Very Tempting!

    308 AR Scope

I called about returning it to Leupold for modification, but they seemed reluctant to alter the reticle (they were willing to install towers). I'm still grappling, but when the choice gets made, I'll report back. Any suggestions are welcome.

    308 AR Scope

I can see why. The ultra fine reticle is kinda cool on paper, but I had to work to see the impact point at 25 and 200 yard targets. The weather was great with perfect blue skies, and I still found it to be a chore. If anyone is tempted, try and look through it before you buy one.

    308 AR Scope

So, I have slowly been messing around with a DPMS LR:308 over the last year. I finally shot it today, and have have had my fears about my current scope realized. The scope is a VX2 6-18, which I think is suitable, and I added some aftermarket turrets that work well enough. However, I got it...

    Disappointed with twin ponds

Ugh, new shooters, tannerite, and bump-firing...that sounds totally awful. I went out there with some cub scouts years ago (the troop leader wanted a few more folks who knew safety and such), and a large group of young Asians showed up. It was the first time I saw "Fast and Furious" style...

    Red Dots on Shotguns?

So, I'm moving around some glass when I come up with an extra red dot (Vortex Strike fire that was on an AR). I didn't have much purpose for it, so, I figured I'd chuck it onto my Mossberg 935, I mean, hell, it has a top rail... Anyway, I'll shoot it eventually just to see if it plays out, but...

All 9 Empire State Victims Hit By Police Gunfire

It's sad, that it came to that. I'm no expert on new York, and have only visited a few times, but those streets are really busy. I've never been in a gunfight, so I can't imagine what that situation felt like for the police, but I'm not sure how that could have been any worse an outcome. CNN...

    New toy, 1911

Those DE 1911's get raves from East Coast. They got one in, an employee bought it, and they all think that it is a great 1911. It apparently has nice craftsmanship compared to the rest of the 1911 market. I think you got a great piece at an awesome price. Grats!!
