The pistols were easy to pull out of the safe, so here's what I've got pictures of now.

Mauser sporterized hunting rifle no clue what caliber it is, think it's some quirky quarter inch type...

Hey, take some PAM cooking spray, a foam earplug and a 30" wooden dowel and some silly putty...
remove the bolt and push the foam ear plug forward of the chamber and allow it to seal off the barrel with the dowel. Spray the PAM into the chamber and then slowly press in the silly putty until it fills the chamber. Then with the dowel very slowly and softly push the new chamber cast out with the dowel from the muzzle.
Now you have a perfect chamber cast of the caliber. a simple micrometer and 10 minutes on wiki and you will know the caliber.
I call this redneck cerocast.

Thanks man. Haven't had much bench time with it but that will change this weekend. The action is a little clunky but supposedly wears in nicely. I really enjoy shooting it though. The fact that it takes AR mags is a bonus all in itself. Hoping to stretch it out to about 300 or so yards on Satirday and see how she does.

I have one of those Mossberg MVP things, wish it had iron sights, would shoot it more often. I just take for ever to choose nice glass.
