Thought i would post pics of my CZ 712 after i got it all set up. I'm really happy with it so far. The stencil'd bio hazard symbol could have been better, i may touch it up later on.

Try some light loads and see how it works, if it works good then awesome if not get with me I just got a few more sets of springs. Later,

Kirk

So is the 712 a good way to get a 3-gun shotgun on the cheap, or would I be kicking myself for being a cheapass when the thing breaks?

Of the who knows how many rounds thru mine it crapped on me once, while it happened to be at the High Plains shoot grrrr the trigger return spring popped out of the detent and locked the trigger up good! easy fix drill it a touch deeper :) I think it's a good option and I'm going to say beeter than the 930 choices you have. I don't know the next time I'll be around Tulsa but I know I'll be at the 3-gun this weekend then headed to Ft. Smith for Old Fort Sunday your more than welcome to run a couple boxes thru mine and see what you think! I have a rather long LOP so if you have short arms it minght not be that great BUT your more than welcome to shoot it. Later,

Kirk

I don't know, I guess it really just depends on how competitive you want to be. I'm not expecting to win anything anytime soon, and probably won't hit a major match until next year at least.

At this point it is good enough for me, and I can keep it around as a HD/backup gun when I upgrade later on.

The things get great reviews from anyone that's played with em, and I'm sure would be much more popular if there was any marketing for them at all.

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to be at the happiest place on earth this weekend. I'll take you up on it another time.

Without a doubt I think it's better than the Mossberg options out there. Also seems faster and softer shooting than my 1100's.

Mine above is completely ready to race for under 600 bucks. I'm sure it doesn't compare to one the $1500 big 3's, but I doubt it's that far behind either. I have no doubt I will end up with an M2 at some point, but this will keep me going until then.

I think that the CZ Is the best bang for the buck!!! Don't let Kirk know this but I have been thinking about getting one!

To shoot 3-gun for less than $600 yes, how crazy would you like to get? open the loading port, weld lifter, sights, big head safety, bolt knob, reduced recoil springs, some stuff that is magic might cost you more BUT you can shoot 3-gun for around $600, I'd not say race ready for under $600 but you can go shoot 3-gun with a shotgun that will cost you around $600 if you want to spend the time doing some things. Race ready will be a touch more than $600

The shotguns cost around $450, Later,

I picked up one of these from Tony last night. Can't wait to get out and shoot it! FYI, mine came with 5 chokes. I should be out at a 3 gun match soon, fumbling and dropping shells and doing some timer endurance testing. :)
