Dear Semi-Pro, since I've found the optic I want, but no mount available locally, can I just tactically duct tape it to my carry handle until the brown truck of happiness arrives?

I thought the Tape was the better idea, evey hose clamp I've seen always rusts, Zip Ties or duct tape doesn't.
