Bring 300 rounds, especially if you decide to stay up late drinking the night before the match. Shooting a Texas star through a barrel can be brutal for some, lol...

No but, someone else had sight issues (seeing double). I told him next time close an eye and the double vision will go away.

On the issue of round count, remember Semi-Pro tip #341:

Bring the exact number of rounds required. If you run out of ammo, go home

Burk,
I am planning on shooting this match.
I have read the USPSA rules.
I have a couple of questions???
I know that I don't have to be an OKCGC member to shoot, but Do I have to be a USPSA member, to shoot?
Will the Plastic Holster, and Mag pouches that came with my XDM be acceptable/allowed to use for this match?
Is FMJ Ammo Allowed? No Steel.(Red river Ammo Group buy)
What Division will I be classified in if i am shooting an XDM .40 5.25 stock off the shelf with no changes?

You do not have to be a USPSA member to shoot. XDM gear will work fine. Any factory ammo should be good to go. With a 5.25 you could do limited or production depending on how many rounds you wish to put in your mags

With factory 40 ammo you will be making major out of that pistol. If I were you I'd shoot Limited, declare major PF and fill up your mags. Consider Lim10 before production though. You aren't gaining any benefit from your major ammo in production, and just starting out, major PF scoring will benefit you more than anything else. The downside is you will be competing with 1911's etc. in Lim10.

There will be plenty of people around to help you out this weekend, don't be afraid to ask questions.

Does anyone have a left handed holster for a glock 17 that my son can borrow? He is home for a visit and I only have right hand gear.
