What did you shoot today?

I've been eyeing the 22/45 Lite models for a couple of years but since I swore off the Ruger Mk series some years ago I never could make myself buy one. Once the 22/45 Lite model was added to the MkIV line up I knew I was sunk. Did a deal with one of the local pushers earlier this month and brought this one home. Put 60 rounds through it today on it's first range trip. I plan to put a minimum of 250 rounds through it before changing anything but I do believe I see a VQ trigger kit and Tandemkross flat trigger in it's future.

First trip out with the new to me Defender and I got mixed results. The good news is it ate the 115g FMJ training ammo as well as the 115g HP from Ammo Valley I've been using. The mediocre news is I shoot my Shield and M&P9c better at 7yds. I think the Colt feels better though and will continue to work with it to see if I can improve with it.

Advantage Arms .22 conversion I traded into on my RIA Tactical frame. I can't begin to describe how much fun this one is! The dot is a cheap BSA I've had for at least 15 years and I've lost count of the number of rifles and pistols I've mounted it on. It's my go-to when I want to try a dot on something before spending the money on a "good" dot to see if I'm going to like shooting that weapon with a dot.

Not only has this turned into my new favorite pistol of any kind, I'm thinking of building up a dedicated railed frame (I like the extra heft of the full dust cover) and maybe picking up another Burris FF2 or FF3 to replace the BSA.

Sweet weapons, awp. I haven't shot anything since early January of this year when I shot the snot out of my customized Ruger Mark IV Target. Great fun! Your 22-45 jogged that good memory, so thanks. After that shoot my vision was giving me so much trouble that I ended up seeing a vision specialist who informed me that I had cataracts in both eyes with my dominate eye the worst. I can't see either front or back sights and have black floaties moving around in my eyes. Insurance has some damn scale of severity that my eyes haven't met so I've been told that surgery will probably not happen until next Spring. Blurrily reading the forums has to suffice until then. At least it's repairable, I keep saying to myself.

Keep on having fun!

Meh.........
I ran two hundred through the TC today. Was shooting some older PMC 38 Super ammo, crazy purple box. The point was to see if the new shooting glassses I bought are actually beneficial. The SSP set I picked up have a bifocal at the top. This allows me to have a normal shooting posture and actually clearly see the sights. I haven't shot this well in years.

I'll have to try a set of upper bifocals... I hate it when I tilt my head back and bugs fly up my nose..

Broke the ACW out and dusted it off this past week. Took it and a couple others to my local range. Figured I would run a few more rounds thru it before listing it for sale. Performed flawlessly...

I've always loved that build.

I just shot the BEC G19 some more this week. I just passed the 1k round mark. I am going to change the RMR type as I have found a couple scenarios where the dot dims to low to be visible enough for fast acquisition.

Ran this one in its second match today. Wasn't going fully into battery a few times so when I got home I took out whatever weight squishy recoil spring they ship in this Valor and put in a spare 12lb spring that came with a Fusion. We'll see how it does.

New to me PX4 Compact. 100 rounds Blazer Brass 115g, 15rds MEN 124g, 15rds Rem 124g Golden Saber. It showed a definite preference for the 124g.

Also put 60 through a Beretta .22 conversion kit on the M9A1 and 92 Compact (30 each) and it shows promise for more than just blasting but it was simply too cold and windy to stick around and start working the steel plates.
