Well, it's saturday.
It looks like we have about 2 feet of snow already, even higher due to wind drift. They're saying it is going to go on past 1:00 before it finally dies down. Meanwhile, the dogs freaked out. Fang went down only 2 stairs before saying screw this and made a yankee charge for the door. Goliath at least made it down the stairs before saying at least I went further than the younger generation and followed suit. A plow just went by and the snow at the sidewalk and driveway entance is maybe 4 feet high for almost the total sidewalk width. I just took a couple of pictures and will get more later. Hopefully I can figure out how to use the new Imageshack somehow to put pics up again. either that or I can e-mail them to Frost for an assist. Y'all should consider yourselves lucky that you are NOT up here! Our lovely 13 year old niece only shoveled once yesterday when there was only about 4 inches. She showed her true colors later on and has abandoned us with no further assistance most likely. That being said, it's up to the wife and myself to tackle the snow removal.
My wife just may get to cash in on that $250,000.00 bounty, er, life insurance policy on my head in the possible near future...
By the way, Rosea Carpa: Dodge City(what we call our city) is heavily populated. We live on a main street that goes through our side of the city and right into another town. We usually have some kind of accident outside on practically a weekly basis with pedestrians getting hit fairly frequently within a 1/2 mile radius. This is NOT ATV territory, they could easily get killed or even worse kill pedestrians out here. That makes bad street conditions even worse- we don't call our street Lakeview Dragway for nothing! :?
