You have to remember that IDPA was a spin off of USPSA by some founders that did not like the way USPSA was going.

I've heard rumors that the target match schedule is a Sunday afternoon. That presents a lot of issues. In the winter you will be tearing down in the dark, and it will be 100+ degrees when you start during some of the summer.

If at all possible you really want a morning start time.
