Done with PayPal

I gave up on paypal over 10 yrs. ago . It was supposed to offer protection for the buyer.
I bought a book online, that was never delivered. My attempts to contact sell went unanswered.
Tried to get paypal to intervene, they did nothing. I was done with paypal after that.
Glad the amount I lost in the transaction was small, (< $20.00),.. I've since read about others losing a lot of $ on fraudulent sales

PAYPAL RE-INSTATES $2,500 FINE FOR WRONGTHINK! WAS NEVER AN 'ACCIDENT' AS THEY CLAIMED!

It is also important to note that PayPal has purchased dozens of competitors. So if you are boycotting PayPal, you should also avoid the other companies they own. This includes Braintree, Venmo, Xoom, Zettle, Hyperwallet, Honey, Chargehound, Paidy, Simility, and many others.

Also, you've probably heard about Visa & MC joining in on tracking of firearms, ammo and related equipment. I don't know at this time if it will do any good, but I opened a Discover Card. They will probably join the circus, but we will see. At lease take away some of the business from the socialist suck ups.

I'm going to try to use postal mo's as much as possible. I was tired of the extra 3-4% service charges anyway.

I also opened a Discover account. We'll see how it goes.

I found a fix for this. I started using a VPN. Once I started this, all that crap stopped.
Exactly what I do.
I also have used paypal recently. What happened is that I bought a piece of farming equipment from an online source. In two weeks, I have not heard of any shipping or other information.
I contacted paypal today and got the payment put back into my account. The seller was from China and a rip off.

" I contacted paypal today and got the payment put back into my account." Good for you.
I gave up on paypal about 20 yrs.ago..I bought a book on ebay (fortunately, not an expensive purchase).. never got the book, No respopnse when I contacted the seller, Paypal did nothing for me. Glad this happened with an inexpensive purchase / lesson learned.
Paypal did nothing for me, so I closed my account. cheat me once...

I use PP for shopping trips overseas & they cost $20.00 for a payment transfer while my bank cost $50.00 for a money transfer.
Shopping anywhere with out having an insurance policy is tricky at best, however shopping overseas they have their own set of rules. ;)

I was buying some growing supplies in Korea & got took by some A-Hole. I always send an E-mail a few days after I place my order.
After I sent my confirmation e-mail this guy never replied, so I called PP & reported it.

Within minutes my $ was returned & the A-Hole was black listed with PP, I'll bet that hurt LOL. :p

It's a hard choice. Should I boycott everything I don't agree with & hurt myself in the process?

I've since read that paypal will refund fraudulent purchases, which is great. Maybe too many people had a similar experience to mine,
& they realized to stay in business, they had to do better than they had in the past.
Somehow, I've managed to survive in the years since I left them, w/o getting cheated in an online purchase.
I use credit cards now, if there's a problem, I refuse to pay the charge..& let the CC company know why...then, the ball's in their court.
