I also have them on my 22/45's. The Alien VZ grips on my STI are my favorite.

I like stag grips.
I cast my vote for best grips for me as the Herrett HB-1 fully checkered. Mostly walnut, but a couple days ago I bought a set of then in Pudak wood. They are beaitiful! I put then on my New to me L/W full size Springfield it is one of the older guns, non ramped bbl. and made in Brazil. One of my very best shooting 1911's is a Brazilian made Springfield.

Lot of great grips out there, the G10 for 30ish bucks on eBay are good, got few pair of those until I discovered Lok Grips, all my 1911's that I shoot regularly have white LG's, and the LG's are made in America, Ebay ones probably made in China, just a guess

I just picked up my first 1911. It's a Sig traditional reverse two tone. I dont really care for the look of the grips and want a solid black. The originals take away from the black/stainless glory. What do you guys suggest? I like the Wilson G10's but is it blasphemy to put Wilson logo'd grips on a Sig?
I recommend WOOD CALIBER . I have their grips on 10 of my 35 plus 1911s.. Exceptional workmanship and choice of wood and designs.

Interesting post.
I really believe it's what you want to do with the gun? Too aggressive rubbing on skin? Want bling? Thinner or thicker profile? Natural or synthetic material? The brands talked about are solid.

Yep, here I go again.
Buddy has two 1991A1's with Crimson Trace® Lasergrips, the LG-401. They are 15 years old, red was all they had back then. Both are sighted in at 20yds and shoot 1/4" off set. I know they are not cheap, but they do work and are deadly. Something to think about, 20-30 yds. you know where you are going to hit, with out fail. 1644983200378.gif

When I've tried a laser it looks like I'm teasing a cat with a laser pen, dot all over the place, it's amazing how steady my iron sights look and a laser makes me look like I'm drunk and don't even drink!

Yep,
If the laser is showing you moving, so is your point of aim.
Like many things a laser takes some practice. You most likely won't pick up a laser unit and be good at it to start with. It did take some time to be good with those at 20 yds, but it gets better, with practice.

Yeah a learning curve for sure, so weird though, at our local IDPA matches I'm average, maybe shade above, last weekend 20th out of 50 shooters but in accuracy most always top ten, sometimes top 5, been first a few times but anytime try a laser or red dot I'm amazed I hit the target but your right it's gonna take practice when I decide to go to a dot, I figure a dot optic or laser gonna take some serious range time

I'm gettin off topic, sorry

Not at all.
When you start with a laser, you will be shocked at know bad your muzzle control is.
