You have had it this long for a reason. My thoughts and two cents won't start a rumor. I would spend the money and have it properly repaired and enjoy it. Pass it on to the next generation. Best of luck on your decision.

Before folks buy Norinco they should google their way to finding out who runs the company. I've been told that Norinco is a front for the Red Chinese Army. I would hate to know that any of my money was used by Red China. There are other makers at the same price point and they have no connection to Communist China.
