Don't landowners only have the right to call the law on people trespassing on land? From what I understand, even if someone is trespassing on our hunt leases, the actual owner can only call the law to have them evicted. What is the story, Dennis?
Landowners typically have a pretty close relationship with GW's. Most of the time the property will be posted, so if the GW drives by and sees someone on the property and they don't know them or they don't have written permission in their possession, the GW can write a trespass ticket. The landowner has to sign it before it can get into the legal system.
If the landowner has leased the land to another for farming practices, the lesee can control who can or cannot come on the property as well as the landowner.
I lease the farming out on my farms, but have a stipulation in the contract that I retain hunting and trespass rights. He only gets agricultural rights.
