2013 BoomerShooter.com Jersey

I still don't any confirmation on my order from early last week. So my 2012 jersey is still good for the Heartland Match Sunday, correct?

why would it not be, nothing's changed

see item 2

  • Purchasing a 2013 BoomerShooter Jersey and posting a photo shooting a match in it (post photo here) = 20 points
  • Shooting a match with ANY BoomerShooter Jersey or Approved Jersey = 1 point
  • Point tracking will start February 9th and go through NOVEMBER 30th.

I thought at some point the 2012 jerseys would no longer count and only the 2013 jerseys would be good to go. My mistake.

nope, all previous year's jerseys are worth the same points, to keep it simple.
You'll get a 1 time points bump for purchasing the current jersey.

I ordered a Large jersey, but im worried I should have got a XL. Sometimes large is fine and sometimes its not. Does anybody know if these run big or small? Im 6'3'' 200lb.

At 6'3" the length is gonn be the issue. If get XL just for that. I'm 6'0" and 215. I run XL to get the length as long as possible.

Scratches head.....nope - they sponsor the forum. Which = prizes on the "Virtual Prize Table". Which = best website ever!

Would love to don this, but wearing it assumes a certain level of qualification IMHO. When I saw people wearing it I immediately assumed they were experts in this sport, so I gravitated to them and started asking questions. Being a new shooter, I feel I would do more harm than good by wearing it simply because I'm not qualified enough to answer those questions.

... someday though :)

Are you kidding? Have you seen Burk shoot wearing his jersey? You can give him tips.

I ordered mine several weeks ago, but just got confirmation last week. Anyone know how long it's taking from charge to delivery?

I'm with Sasquatauch, on the other hand Phil is on to something. Even I can't recall very many times that Burk beat me. (Sorry Burk but the truth is not always pretty).

IF it don't rain in Ponca City saturday and IF I break out of the Dungeon of SS, I may consider purchasing a shirt as a reward to me. Then I'd look spiffy at SSC in May.

If you're wearing a shirt to shoot a match, might as well wear one that gets you a chance to win a pistol :D

I didn't get one before this year because I knew I wasn't good enough to represent, but after shooting matches with all the good folks on here it isn't about how good you are, it's about getting out shooting matches, promoting gun owners to becoming shooters, and having fun!

I'm good enough to finish last at a match (been there, done that), but I've got a shirt on the way!

It's a marketing decision to me. There's no such thing as bad press, but there is such a thing as a general public image. If the shirt is sold to a bunch of noobs like myself then the shirt/website/etc evenutally holds no intrinsic value simply by virture of others interacting with the people wearing it. People will come to to see it as a mark of, "oh, that person is a <insert derogatory adjective> shooter". Sorry if I'm stepping on toes here, but to me the shirt should be a mark of excellence/experience and a goal, not just an advertising purchase.

Burk (sorry you're the guinea pig here) may be a craptacular shooter to you all, but if he's knowledgeable and helpful, that's immensly awesome to new shooters. If the goal is to promote the sport, the site, and the sponsors, then you ultimately want friendly people that are willing AND able to help, inform and instruct new shooters.

Again, just my .02 bullets.
