    Your Thoughts

According to the spec sheets, both have 1:8 twist bbls, both are threaded. The big difference is bbl length (16" vs 22") and caliber (5.56 vs .223). On the caliber front, you can shoot .223 in a 5.56 chamber. 5.56 is not necessarily the best in a .223 chamber though. You may get FTE or other...

    Question about getting a suppressor

Mark Schnee hooked me up with a trust for a very reasonable fee: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Schn ... 7306804945 He is very pro-2A. Having a trust lets you avoid the LEO signoff and also lets you grant access to the NFA items to others on a temporary or continuing basis. Super...

    3" group @ 100yrds

http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/rifle/308/ Plenty of match ammo starting at about $0.80/round. Prvi was the first thing that popped up but there's others. Weidner's has PPU in stock. The PPU match has treated me well in .223. 1:10 is the standard twist of the Springfield '06 and Garand. That...

    3" group @ 100yrds

A quick search of the interwebs shows the PMC to run about 1.5-2 MOA for most shooters (from a rest with various rifles). M80 ball spec is only 2.4 MOA for the .mil; most of it runs better than that but no guarantees. I have not been impressed with XM193 lately, so maybe XM80 is getting cruddy...

PSA & PA "SPR" Range Review

I want to give folks a range review on a "special purpose rifle" (SPR) clone I made using parts from PSA and Primary Arms. I recently had the chance to put the rifle through its paces at a two-day Appleseed Full-Distance event. The concept was to clone the "SPR" MK12...

    Thoughts on keymod?

I have a rifle with a keymod rail setup. I didn't go out of my way to acquire it; PSA just happened to have a great deal that had a Keymod rail configuration. Thus far, I like it well enough. There is some added expense to add rails or swivel studs where you need/want them, but on the flip...

Bone Fish Grille - 'No Firearms requested'

It doesn't require any research of corporate policies if there's a big honking sign on the door that says you are an undesirable in the eyes of the management. I personally won't shop with companies that are opposed to my natural rights or companies which are based in ban states if a reasonable...

Bone Fish Grille - 'No Firearms requested'

Why give your money to people who don't want you in the store? There are other equally good places to eat which are NOT signed or posted. Even if it isn't a legally compliant sign, why not reward a competitor with your business?

Rifle or shotgni in a backpack ?

Open carry of long guns without a permit is legal in SC. I can't find anything forbidding concealed carry of a rifle or shotgun either, unless you intend to commit a crime with one in which case it is illegal (SECTION 16-23-460. Carrying concealed weapons; forfeiture of weapons). There may be...
