Bone Fish Grille near the North Charleston coliseum.

Open for Lunch and Dinner Mon - Sat

They have a sign stating they do not want firearms in their restaurant. However, I did not see a NO CONCEALED WEAPON sign on the door, so I presume its OK if you keep it under wraps. They could still ask you to leave, I imagine.

Yup, food is good, prices are decent.

I was drinking last time, so I disarmed, but otherwise, no worries.

What does that mean, "No Firearms Requested" in a concealable weapon, conceal carry only permitted?
"We don't want you to be able to protect yourself or anyone else, but we won't stop you and we want your business"

I sense the owners/operators of these no firearms requested notices know that the signs are not legal, so why even post?
If you carry, your CCW is concealed
If you drink alcohol, you can't carry
If you are a criminal, signs and laws don't matter anyway

Probably the corporate trying to prevent idiots having open carry parties like this one...
Alex Clark, a member of the Dallas chapter of Open Carry Texas, tells KRLD-TV that he had attended the weekend armed lunch at a Chipotle in downtown Dallas.

It's a shame restaurants feel the need to post signs. Shame on our idiot
brothers in arms for not seeing how flaunting AK's "cuz I can" doesn't help out gun rights battle. Sometimes I think we (gun owners) are our own worst enemy.

Maybe a NO IDIOTS ALLOWED sign would be more appropriate.

Why give your money to people who don't want you in the store?

There are other equally good places to eat which are NOT signed or posted. Even if it isn't a legally compliant sign, why not reward a competitor with your business?

Because no one cares and it isn't important.

I eat where the conference of my heart, mind, wallet and stomach decide. I don't have the time or inclination to research the policies of corporations (that likely don't even have an opinion outside of whatever their lawyers recommend to cut potential liability) or the religious or politics of corporate officers therein.

Chik-Fil-A could baptise all customers at the doorway before permitting entry and I'd still eat there whenever I wanted a chicken sandwich.

You know why I stopped eating at Zaxby's? Not their politics. Their prices went up. Everything else is irrelevant to normal humans.

It doesn't require any research of corporate policies if there's a big honking sign on the door that says you are an undesirable in the eyes of the management.

I personally won't shop with companies that are opposed to my natural rights or companies which are based in ban states if a reasonable satisfactory alternative exists to substite. There are plenty of awesome seafood places in Charleston. For example, in Sumter the Goodwill is posted and other charities are not. I do not drop off donations or shop at Goodwill because it is equally easy to work with another charity which isn't openly and obviously working against our rights.

How well would the Montgomery Bus Boycott gone if black people decided, "You know, this back of the bus thing isn't so bad. I'll keep riding." Gun owners have significant collective economic power as well as political power, which can shape the behavior of corporations. Something like one in ten families living in SC have someone or know someone closely with a CWP. Those CWP holders tend to actually have jobs and disposable income, making them desirable customers.
