Just bought a pro and noticed the bottom of the mag bases wont work with my 4.25 inch m&p mags. Are they changing all of them to this? Im needing to know cause I want to change my new mags to the compact m&p bases, but it appears if they changed them they wont work. any body know whats going on?

Ive shot a 30-06 before and not a .308. How much softer is a .308 to the shoulder than a 30-06. I dont like putting more than a few rounds down range with a 30-06.
