2011 High Plains Shooting Challenge, June 25th & 26th

Michael Rush wore his, and Jeremy Campbell did, too. My jersey won't be in for a few weeks. I wore my BS hat, and so did Wall, and maybe someone else. I didn't get a pic with the banner, or any at all for that matter. A bunch of us showed up to shoot, and that was really cool. It was an interesting and fun match.

I also noticed Mike Ray wearing his BS hat... There was a huge Boomer Shooter presence at this match!

I noticed you shot the "swing" in stage 8 from a prone position and Micheal shot it from a seated position. Was it shooters choice?

yes, the only positional requirement was that no part of your body could be touching the ground.

Did most people shoot it prone?

I did but only so i could drag my foot as i got in to stop it from swinging. The downside was the awkward as hell position that the round surface puts the body in. Took way to long to get a sight picture for me. It was a ***** now matter what.

The other bad part about prone is that my spent cases hit the wall of the tube and rolled down resting nicely on my arm. I had to just stand it until I finished shooting. Ive got a nice little momento of the match burned into my tricep.

Why did Stages 2 and 12 get deleted? Also, tell me about some of the stages with a score of 100.00? Is that the "par" time?

they run better with sand! Especially at those targets that are 300 yards away.
