I like old school paper ballots...Electronic ones can, & will be manipulated. But there has to be checks and balances to keep it honest. Always question that's a Patriots job.
We voted this A.M. Miss LD'S was 147 mine was 150. We watched it go in, and watched the counter change. Regardless of the outcome, God has this handled, I tend to forget that. I believe He is on the side of the patriots, as long as we support the right, and not the wrong. God Bless the USA!

Back to some pistols......

I shot this one this morning. I've had it for a little over a year and I continue to be very impressed with it. It's in the same league as a Nelson Custom and Marvel Precision Unit#1, but at a budget price $349 (vs $585 for a Nelson and $565 for a Marvel Unit#1). If anyone in 1911fanatic's land is looking for a **reasonably priced** 1911-.22 Conversion Unit that you could seriously compete with in Bullseye Matches, check out the products from Advantage Arms. This is their "Target Model". I purchased it "used" but it was unused. It's branded STI International but it's just the standard Advantage Arms Target Model. I'm going to keep the iron sights on this one and the only upgrade I bought after purchasing was their fibre optic front sight, an optic rail is available. Their poly magazines work flawlessly. It's mounted to my 2014 Colt Combat Elite lower, RoCo "The Master" stocks, Advantage Arms poly magazines.

I was asked by a local sporting goods retailer that I frequent and buy my .22 ammo to try out a Bushnell RXS-100 4MOA red dot. This is Bushnell's cheapest offering in a reflex red dot that is priced just over $100. The red dot comes with the weaver mount. I mounted it to my D&T 7" barrel on my S&W Model 41. I sighted it in a 20 yards using a bench rest and then shot it off hand. It seems to work very well. It was a breeze to sight in and I'll keep it for a while to see if it holds 0. So far so good. 1985 S&W Model 41, 2013 7" D&T barrel, Herrett's stocks.

I realize this is not the exact thread for this question, but I don't think it warrants a new thread:
I have a Kimber 1911 .22 conversion kit and would like to get a threaded barrel for it. (Kimber does not make one)
Does anyone know where I can find a threaded barrel for this?
Cheers
Grant

Petard,
The CWA 1911-.22 Conversion Unit is based off the GSG 1911-.22 pistol. CWA made "upgrades" for the GSG and that part of his business became so popular he branched into his own 1911-.22 Conversion Units and complete pistols.. They are very well made.

An update to my trial of the Bushnell RXS-100 red dot:
I'm at the 2000 round mark and it's still holding zero (my shaky shooting aside) and working flawlessly.

." S&W 617".. I actually like my 617 better than my Dan Wesson 22 ( but not better than my Mod .41 ) My liking auto loaders better than revolvers, came after my realization ( admitting ) it's a lot easier to clean an auto loader than a revolver. I dislike scrubbing burn rings out of revolver cylinders.
I do admit that I still enjoying shooting revolvers , how they fit my hand. Must be why I feel blessed to get to enjoy both.

Uberti makes some fine arms. I had a lever 1866, & still have a Taylor & Co 1894
(Uberti). Do you have any problems with the 1911 Browning?

I have a 1911-22 compact and two 1911-380 compacts with auxiliary 22 slide assemblies. I've had various problems with them, but they are easy enough to fix. I trust one of them enough to carry, and the other is getting there.

I have a number target 22LR pistols . but one of my favorites is a PMR-30 Kel-Tec 22WMR very accurate at 40-50 yds.

I do not plink much these day but when i did it was a browning challenger. I do sometimes use conversion kits for that on full size pistols intended for training.

my "garage" rotation for cold winter night 22 pistols

Ruger Single Six
Ruger MK I, II, III & IV………love me them 10" Rugers
Sig 2022 top end on TJ Sig 220
Dave Lauck Colt 22
Dave Lauck Colt Ace

Each of these pistols is 100%. Reliable. Every. Shot.
I really like the Colt ACE & even the 1911 22. Kimber. But @ $1000 Plus, I will have to pass. Should have tripped the trigger on one 20+ Years ago.

1989 S&W Model 17-6, I replaced the OEM finger groove stocks for these birds eye maple presentation stocks which I like better for shooting.

In the USA we fire such courses at 25 yards for 20 or 10 sec time sequences for 5 shots and at 50 yards with 10 minutes allowed for 10 shots. Still much betters scores than what I am shooting these days.
