West Houston 3 Gun - April 13, 2013

My wife was attending a conference in Houston this weekend so I rode along with her and found this match outside of Katy http://www.whidpa.com

I met up with Curtis Harris from BS on Saturday morning and off we went. This was my first short course match and Curtis' first 3 gun match ever. I'll give a tip of the hat to the match director Bob Wolff for a well run, very well attended match; to Tom Dowdy, squad 1 SO for keeping us on track; to Lee in squad 1 for saving me from dehydration; and to Curtis for a good performance in his first match and for bringing some damn fine bbq for lunch!.

If you're in the area I would highly recommend attending a match run by these guys. Good shooters + good people = good times!

I don't shoot 3 gun so I wasn't there but glad to see members shooting together in different cities!

My first experience in 3Gun and couldn't tell you how thankful I am to James for helping me!! My only goal of the day was not to do something stupid and DQ. Well that goal was accomplished

Another shout out to Mike Cyrus and Accurate Iron for a kick-ass (hope you didn't trademark that phrase Jesse) shotgun, I didn't miss a single shotgun target and I passed your name along when I got a compliment.

If it wasn't for the sunburn, this was the perfect weekend!

Shoulda loaded a ghost round but woulda, coulda, shoulda...was fun as hell though!! Damn I love that Benelli!!
