Vortex Razor or wait?

So I currently use a loaned Vortex Razor HD 1-6 and I love it.

Want to purchase one and send it back with a mate who is coming back to RSA.

*some background is the razor in South Africa is around R43000 which at 13 to the dollar is $3300 (importers duties etc). So at around $1400 in the states it makes sense.

Should I wait for something like a Razor 1-8 (hypothetical) to come out or is the 1-6 fine.

At the price of the Swaro 1-8 I cant afford it.

I run the Razor in 3 gun nation and also a little bit of IPSC Rifle which I only really shoot the nationals.

Stick with sworvoski Leupold or nightforce if your out of the states, warranty stuff sucks otherwise I won't buy another
