Make checks payable to Bryan Hoover. I will issue one check to USPSA.
Correct. The uspsa fee does not cover instructor hotel & food expenses. They are paid seperately by the coordinator (Bryan). I've done the legwork to get everything set up, but I've asked Bryan to take over from here since I will not be available the days of the class.

Question/Topic Request for you guys and gals taking the class to ask the instructor.

While browsing the classifieds on Enos, I came across a Glock 34 marketed as a great production gun. Among the upgrades listed was a line that said speed chute with a picture of the factory magwell. (Link to post on Enos)

Here is the accompanying picture...

Someone replied to his post stating that it was not production legal due to this modification, to which the OP attached a letter from the NROI (listed below) as 'proof' that it was legal.

Would someone mind inquiring about this?

Thanks,
Shane

Letter from NROI to OP regarding the mod in question, note that it's dated 2007, which is why I'm wondering if this 'ruling' is still valid.

[SIZE=9pt]This is what I asked and got back from DNROI.

Subject: Production Magwell?

Hello, will this be legal in Production under the new 2008 rules. It seems like it is only an internal modification, an enhancement to the grip internal beveling.

Grips â€" Internal beveling. Checkering, stippling, and
addition of grip tape or grip sleeves.

No magwell attachments or external flaring of the
magwell. The lateral width of the well may not be
more than 1/4" wider than the lateral width of the
magazine.

Thanks,
Mitch

Hi Mitch,

Assuming it does not change the external dimensions, it appears this would comply with the new rule.

My accurate iron Glock had a similar mod. I never shot it at nationals so nobody ever looked close enough to care if it was or wasn't legal. If Accurate Rom said it was Ok who was I to argue?
