USPSA Multigun Nationals 2016

Howdy.

Since I won't be shooting any of the 3GN regional or national events this coming year, I have been looking for challenges that match my work schedule to replace them with.

I have a couple questions about the USPSA side of 3 gun. I know the big annual event in in Las Vegas this April. Is this match by qualification invitation only? I couldn't really decipher the info from the webpage.

Anyone here been recently and anyone going to the 2016 match?

No Sir. It's an open match to all USPSA members, but, it has become so popular that it is very hard to get in to. I read they are adding a few more shooters to each squad so I would get on the wait list if I were you and hope you get in. It's a great match. I will be working it as an RO, or something, so hopefully we'll see you there..

Ok, so I am looking at hotels and what not. How is the traffic away from the strip? I will likely ship my gear out ahead of me, unless I pick up a nice big case and a shorter shotgun barrel.

The range is way up on the West side of town. From the strip it takes about 25 minutes in light traffic to get to the range. There is a resort (Red Rock Casino) that is right at the exit for the range as well as some other hotels in that same area. Most of the hotels will take a shipment if you just call ahead.. There should also be an announcement of a gun store in town that will take shipments. You might also see if anyone is going to drive it (like Di and Ryan) that can take your stuff out for you.. Way cheaper..
