I will be attending this match. I should probably attend the "new shooters" briefing.

Any update on range conditions?

We are debating the drive over from tulsa but don't really want to shoot in a sloppy mess....but we really need to shoot a match. Decisions decisions

The last info I received from John Bent said they were going to be modifying stages to reduce movement & swapping some paper for more steel in case the targets have to be bagged.

^^^ This.

But it was pretty early this morning and haven't got anymore through the day. If it doesn't rain anymore it will likely be not too bad. If it rains again tonight it's going to be sloppy.

only way you got a foot and a half in 5 minutes was if you fell on a baseball bat
I don't know about out in BFE, but down here in the city it looked like a friggin hurricane this morning. It was gettin it!

over by saint anthony's downtown they were trudging through a foot and a half to get to their cars this morning!

Just got the go ahead by the boss and looked at the radar so what's the round count got 200 loaded

Thought I’d give you an update. I just returned from the range where we set 5 stages â€" all field courses, with about every piece of steel we own and the rest of the targets will be turtle targets for easy bagging in the (likely) event of rain. We have no classifier set. If conditions are really good tomorrow and we have a lot of folks turn out, we will set another bay â€" got the plans in the car if needed.

The bays are in good condition â€" no problems at all â€" though that could certainly change if the weather deteriorates. Plan accordingly.

The forecasts are still a mixed bag, some saying more rain tonight/tomorrow morning, and some suggesting later tomorrow. Who knows for sure; it’s Oklahoma; we could have an ice storm. Seriously, I expect we will be flirting with rain off and on throughout the day, but we’ll see.

Reminder: We are using the south bays â€" the “old ones”, not the north ones. There is construction underway up at the north end â€" some awesome shade covers and a porch for the new building and a big air conditioner for the office… NICE.

Sign-in starts about 9:15. We’ll play the match by ear.

Thanks!

John Bent

Stage setters: Greg Goode, Mike Majors, Grant Gains, Heath Vincent, and I. We did our best to “evil-ize” the stages that Greg designed. Blame him…. We will!  Seriously, they look like fun and will work well even if we have to bag targets.

So basically your telling me I should press out another hundred cause I get trigger happy on steel

I do love me a sea of steel! It might be the clang sound when ya hit it, it might be the mental game, perhaps it's the no pasters, lol!
