Yep, it’s that time again â€" this weekend, the September (9.5.15) IPSC match at the OKC Gun Club. Sign-in will start about 9:15, as usual.

Setup will be Friday afternoon starting about 1-ish and should be pretty quick and easy…. We left walls up from last weekend’s Sectional on several bays, so it will mostly be a matter of deciding how to tweak them for new evil and mayhem….

…and on that note, of the 14 available bays, the north 6 are CLOSED this week, and signs are posted to that effect. Please leave them alone.

What's the concensus on a guy coming to shoot but having to leave by 1:00? If that guy always hangs out to help with clean up and what not is it OK to shoot through the match and roll out one time or is it a douche move. I'd say be honest and don't hold back but I don't think I'll have that problem here.

Everyone has a life outside of our shooting hobby. I'm sure nobody will mind, and if they do it's no big deal.

You will be fine Tony. Besides, we may be done by 1 since all the real shooters are going to be at Area 4.

You can shoot on my squad

oh yeah. Im planning on going, but Im free most of the rest of the week

How does one person place ahead of me in limited, but then in the overall results, I'm place ahead of him?

Your score on each stage is based on how well the best person did.

The best person in combined is different than in limited usually since it will be an open shooter.

So your stage points are different in limited than in combined and it just works out differently.

That's right. Remember in USPSA you are only competing against folks in your Division, so overall results that list all divisions are not official results. Only the division by division results are official. Overall is just so revolver shooters feel worse than they did when they woke up that morning. :)

[from John Bent]

One item of note: We had an item come up after the match was over concerning a couple of individual scores, where penalties may have been assessed in error. The time to make corrections to scores is at the review page on the stage device. The scorekeeper and shooter should both review results so that any errors can be caught on the spot (assuming the shooter cares to do that). Basically, it’s a joint responsibility. Once it is stored, it becomes the official record. After the fact, lacking any backup of the stage performance, it is difficult to defend altering the scores. Unfortunately, at this point, “it is what it is”.

This has come up in the past with times that were wayyyy outside reasonable; an after-the-fact guess is not appropriate and when the results cannot be accurately determined and a reshoot not possible the “book answer” is DNF.
