Well after looking at competition belts I bought the Uncle Mike's 3 gun belt. It was a little cheaper than the CR Speed or Double Alpha. It is a fairly new product and didnt have any reviews so I thought I would give the little guy a chance. Over all it is a fairly nice belt. The outer belt is good and stiff all be it a little thick. It has MOLLE/PALS webbing for attaching all manner of "tactical" gear to your belt for those who are into that sort of thing. The inner belt is padded with 1/4-3/8 inch foam. At first I thought that might be a good idea but after getting the thing I am not so sure. The padding makes it a pain get through belt loops. Of course I had the idea the bright idea of pulling the cover off the belt and removing the padding. Apparently Uncle Mike's didn't think people would do that because instead of using a standard inner belt and adding padding and a cover to that they took a stiffened belt, added the padding and cover and put the loop pile for velcro on the ends and cover. So now I have to go find an inner belt somewhere this week before the Double Tap. Overall I like the belt and I am sure it will work for alot of shooters. The padded inner belt while a good idea in theory seems more gimmicky once you actually have the belt in hand. Hopefully in the future they will offer a belt without the padded inner belt. Until then unless you are needing a little extra padding spend the few extra bucks and get the CR or DA belt.
