This would be a fantastic thing to happen next door to the European Union.

Thats good, when our liberties are taken away here I don't have to move further than Ukraine.

I remember listening to two eastern Europeans that lived under soviet rule after WWII.
They said the first thing the dictators took away was their right to own firearms.
Once they had no way to fight back, they were doomed.
The Ukrainians learned a tough lesson, but eventually succeeded. I hope they succeed getting gun ownership for their citizens.

Interesting how a people who live in an oppressed society appreciate and yearn for the rights that others take for granted.
