toy gun

That's about right for America. Common Sense is an uncommon virtue.

The "toy gun" in the story was clear plastic and couldn't have possibly been mistaken for a real weapon. It was obviously a facsimile. It's not like the toy gun looked like this one:

One of those is a toy. The other is a .357 magnum. I could see expelling a kid for posessing one of those on school grounds. But CLEAR plastic?

Pretty pathetic, reacting that way to a clear plastic gun- obvously a toy. This and the Hello Kitty bubble gun incident are SO ridiculous that the PC liberals are looking like certified public morons!

If I was her father I would have demanded to have that toy given back to me, as they had NO legal right to retain it whatsoever. Then I would have displayed it for the news station that ran the story. The woman newscaster on the right of the screen deserves credit for stating the obvious wrongdoing on the part of the school's part- they should be ashamed of themselves.

The whole government school system is run by a bunch of left-wing liberal morons. It must take some serious resolve to be a teacher with this level of stupidity running the show.
