You know, I got to try a Tisas 1911 when in Tennessee and for $330. I might have to check it out.

For what it's worth, I have a Tisas Tank Commander and I'm very happy with it. Shoots great, and I had been trouble free. The only two things I've changed is the grips for herret full checkered grips and the thumb safety to a Colt standard thumb safety. That's because I prefer that particular type of thumb safety. I love the commander size pistols because I'm shorter with a small frame, and they're a bit more comfortable for me to carry,

The store is just west of Des Moines. I have a friend that knows the store well and claims they are solid AND hard to get a hold of. If my local store can't match or beat and it is still there, I will likely buy it.
