Can anyone show me how to do a proper weak hand load, like where to put fingers and thumb.. I have looked at some videos but they are to fast for me. I need it dumb down for a electrician we get shocked so much I need it in slow motion.

There are two trains of thought.
1. grab them and keep them as they are in the caddy - flat and in a row in your hand.
2. just grab and bunch them up.

I do both depending on what I am trying to do and if I screw up or not lol.

I would suggest try both ways and see what works for you.

Most will say or demo grabbing the shells with your first two fingers and letting the third finger index/guide on the outside edge of the caddy.

This video will give you a look from all 3 sides of the gun. I think everyone loads slightly different but the general technique that Kurt Miller taught me is basically the same. Your dexterity and hand size and shape will dictate what works best for you.

If you can't get below 10 seconds for 8 rounds with the weakhand load I recommend one of the load two serious from Mark Otto, Chameleon Fabrics or Carbon Arms.

I'm pretty sure Kurt's video on the 3-Gun site shows him doing a slow load, and explaining the whole thing. Here, I found it: http://3gunnation.com/media/videos/weak_hand_reload

Here is Kurt's video in case that link doesn't show on your phone like it didn't on mine. This one still cracks me up every time Mark Willis says that's 8 shells in just over 2 seconds and Kurt being the honest SOB that he is says no its about 4.5-5. Willis talks him into it being 2.5 though. Lol!!!

It may be just choppy video on my cell but it appeared as if your finger isinside the trigger guard. Won't that get you DQ'd?

Not in my practice room it won't. Seriously though that is a bad and dangerous habit. I didn't even know I was doing it until about a million people pointed it out after I made this video. You should always flag that trigger finger high up in the gun.

Only asking as saftey is important and I'm just now exploring the world of long guns|shotguns

The most important aspect is to keep the lifter depressed throughout your load, if you do that the shells will find their way in much easier. Also, go slow and make sure every round finds its way into the tube smoothly at first. An 8 second load will always be faster than dropping ammo in the dirt.

Thank you guys for all the help now I just need to watch and practice.

for me one of the keys is to be sure the ring finger is "below" the bottom of the shells, if my ring finger is "above" the shells then my reload is horrible..
