I went the other way. My first 1911 was the old Springfield Linkless in 10mm. Then I added several Delta Elites and bought the first G20 when they first chambered 10mm
Only a few years ago I found a killer deal on a Hand Fit 1911 Ithaca in 45acp and I was hooked. A couple of DW and a Les Baer are now in the Family
Truthfully part of the attraction of 45 ACP to me is I was so afraid of losing 10 mm brass. I definitely have enough 10 mm brass to last a lifetime but the 45 ACP I do not spend time on my hands and knees trying to find the strays that are hiding
so far I do not have a 38 super or 9mm 1911………
