Hello everyone, I work for a shooting glass company and we make the best products in the world (imho)... but we are mostly servicing the shotgun industry and I'm looking to expand into 3 gun and other shooting sports. Does anyone here have advice on how to start? Happy to sponsor the right shooters but I need suggestions on who those people are, who are the distributors I should be targeting etc. What is everyone wearing now and are they looking for something more out of their eyewear?

Please hit me up with any suggestions or feel free to contact me: [email protected] or call 203-894-3265.

Thanks! Luke

I will admit that I had not heard of these before now but they look pretty cool. BoomerShooter is definitely the place to be if you are looking to find some badass 3-gunners to sponsor.

What kind of impact protection ratings do your glasses have? Sorry if this was answered on your website, but all of my computers are indisposed at the moment so I'm trying to browse from my phone. Practical shooting sports require greater protection than the clay shooting sports IMO. I recently ditched my Randolphs for this reason.

Also your glasses have to look tactical or no one will buy them, but it looks like your Fugitive line has that under control.

damn, I thought my Oakley's were expensive.

maybe look at making something a little more stylish and under $1,000.

Trap/Skeet gunners and 3-gunners are quite different breeds....

Holy elephant dung, I just looked at the prices.

They are indeed different breeds. If you think your 3-gun rig is expensive, ask a serious trapshooter how much he paid for his Krieghoff.

E: Eh, it looks like you can get a nice used K-80 for $7.5k these days. Not as bad as I thought.

I could sell all my 3 gun stuff and not be able to afford one!

Those are some nice glasses but at that price I would be afraid of breaking them. I can't speak for everybody but I tend to break a pair of glasses about once a year because I wasn't paying attention and set something on them, sat on them, or ran over them. Some hardy frames with your lenses at a price point around what a pair of Oakley or Rudy project glasses would definitely have me interested.

I broke a pair in Hot Springs AR Choate Melee this last weekend. radians

I'm somewhat familiar with Pilla (aka High Def Spex) from my Sporting Clays days.
Quite a few of my S/C buddies wear them...I've bought and sold a couple of pair that buddies won off prize tables.
I've worn them, the purplish / reddish colored lens are fantastic for clays.

They are very nice, George Digweed uses them, and they offer financing.

But they are probably too nice for 3-gun and other 'action' shooting sports.
My shades get beat up, I've broken a few pair of Oakleys, Rudy's, and Smith's.

However, I always thought it was odd to see someone running $1500+ optics, but looking thru cheap $100 glasses...

I've worked for / with a few sunglass companies. I've been sponsored by sunglass companies. I've consulted with sunglass companies. I've sold shades at wholesale and at retail. The business I manage now includes a sunglass shop.
I've worked in the outdoor and sports industry for 22+ years. I love to see new brands enter the market and see established brands enter new markets.

So, drop me a line if I can help.
