Tarheel 3 Gun is Officially Putting Local 3 Gun Matches On Notice

pretty impressive... we should pick one date (months from now), to have an "epic" 3 gun match... basically just one match that the stages are more involved, longer, etc.. everyone can start contributing ideas or props, etc.. since the match would be months away and kind of a "one-time" deal.

I told you we were doing good things.

These are videos from stage 1 and 2 of the six stage April match. We run a match a month and limit it to 90 shooters. The total pre-registration with wait list was about 120. We have about six donated range vehicles. They all run, with a little help.

Come visit. Generally the first Saturday of the month. There are a couple exceptions (September and November, 2nd Saturday).

The range is centrally located between The Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point) and The Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill). We get quite a few competitors from a certain military facility in Fayetteville, "Home of the Airborne and Special Opertations Forces."

One stage is all shotgun, usually 22 rounds or so of shot. There is supposed to be a berm coming to allow handgun and slugs.

Usually, long range rifle to 300 yards using mechanical reset steel and flash targets on one stage with a pistol/shotgun section.

Three dedicated 3-gun bays, and one small bay with handgun and rifle.

Reactive targets are 15 seconds for a miss.

Paper is two anywhere or one zero/A-B.

No FTN, no FTE.

Scoring is quick and easy.
