We will have a tactical steel match this Sunday at Oil Capital, similar to our Labor Day match.

Expect reloads, movement, and lots of targets. It will be RF .22 and 10rd mag friendly.

Same categories, center fire iron and open, rimfire iron and open, rifle iron and open.

I will send a design of the stages later this week. You will need a minimum of 3 mags, but I suggested bringing more if you have them.

Sign-in at 9:30am and start shooting at 10:00am. Round count of around 200+ (160 if you don't miss.) We will have all the normal divisions: Rimfire pistol optic/iron, Centerfire pistol optic /iron, and Rimfire rifle iron/optic.

Oil Capital Members $10.00, non-members $15.00, and second gun $5.00.

If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match (please don't put targets on the ground; we take them apart as we load them on to the trailer- much easier than picking them off the ground.)

Remember we have plaques for 1st place winners.

Hope to see you at the range.

Jeff, will have a couple of stages you could probably use at your Pro-Am match.
We will use actual time rather than fixed par time.
Hope all 3 of you can make it. Would love to see little John running through it.

I really don't want to miss this one!

I just reviewed the stage plans for this match, DAMN!

I really, really hate sitting this one out! This is gonna be a great match to lay down the law on some steel!

Shoot and Move Steel Challenge!

One of you guys pointed a good correction on "Circle".
To,get the -5 score, the 12in target must be the last target to be entangled.

Meaning you have to haul ass back to square one and then engage it? Probably going to have to mandate re-holstering of weapon prior to the return trip to square one. Or require a backpedal, or something else creative to not break the 180 and stay safe. Unless I am missing something or you get creative this could be a tough stage to keep "safe".

I will be there.

Yup, break the 180 gets you sent home. Turning the gun upside down and pointed behind you does the trick.

Got a note asking about dropped strings.
All string will count.
Because this is a RF friendly match, you get a one redo at every stage IF you had a jam in one of your strings.

Also, thanks to Troy Brooks for supplying the drop off targets for Circle.
Can't wait to shoot It.

2 stages, Circle and the Vice Pres, can be shot with shotgun, if you want that as your 2nd gun.
Shotguns will shoot free as a second gun.

Thank you to all for helping out with the tear down.
We had great weather and a great match.
I am glad to report nobody broke the 180 rule.
We had a light crowd with 15 guns, but we had a lot of fun.

Phillip and Ryan get 1st place plaques for rimfire pistol iron sights, and rimfire rifle optics respectively. Amanda get a plaque (again) for best Lady score.

Thanks again to Troyfor bringing the drop off targets we used on Circle. That was a lot of fun (like most people, I really wish I could have shot it a second time.)

We might have a rimfire match on the 3rd Sunday of October, and out next monthly Steel Challenge match is Sunday October 27. Keep an eye out for emails with match announcements.

Scores have been posted.

Hope to see you at the range.
