Steel Challenge this Sunday at Oil Capital; our regularly scheduled match for the month of May.
Our monthly match in June will be replaced by the J. M. Davis Benefit Steel Challenge Event, organized by Lance Jensen. As many of you know, Lance has previously hosted this event on several occasions with great success, but this will be the first time at Oil Capital. Will keep you posted on this and I hope a lot of you will show up for this great benefit match.
Signups start at 9:30am, and shooting at 10:00am.
$20 to shoot, $15 for OC members, and as always, free of charge to LEOs and active military. $5 for a second gun.
6 stages with the following divisions: Center fire pistol iron sights, center fire pistol open, revolver, rimfire pistol iron sights, rimfire pistol optics, rimfire rifle iron sights, rimfire rifle optics. Anybody interested in participating with a 9, 40, or 45 carbine is welcome to do so (no necked cartridges.)
Round count will be around 200.
If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match (please don't put targets on the ground; we take them apart as we load them on to the trailer- much easier than picking them off the ground.)
Please note the speed limit in our club roads. if you can see dust or a rooster-tail behind you, you are going too fast (we will squeeze you in a squad even if you show up late.)
Remember we have plaques for 1st place winners (I know we owe several of you some of these; I'll bring them with me.)
