Steel Challenge this Sun 11-23-14 @ Oil Capital

This Sunday is Steel Challenge at OCR&GC. Sign-in at 9:30am and start shooting at 10:00am. We will be shooting six stages with a round count of around 200. We will have all the normal divisions: Rimfire pistol optic/iron, Centerfire pistol optic /iron, and Rimfire rifle iron/optic. Oil Capital Members $10.00, non-members $15.00, and second gun $5.00; as always, LEO's and active military shoot for free.

If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match (please don't put targets on the ground; we take them apart as we load them on to the trailer- much easier than picking them off the ground.) But no pressure if you want to leave or can't help.

I do want to remind all of our speed limit in our club roads. if you can see dust or a rooster-tail behind you, you are going too fast (we will squeeze you in a squad even if you show up late.) I will make this reminder part of our standard match notice.

Remember we have plaques for 1st place winners.

The weather for Sunday forecast for Sunday keeps getting better and better (high of 61.)
We will shoot the fast stages in Sunday:
Pendulum, Roundabout, Showdown, Speed Option, Accelerator, and, you know it, Smoke and Hope

Well, I might have spoken too soon. The weather forecast now calls for a 70% chance of rain trhoughout the day. But of course it might change.

We have great cover at Oil Captial, so we can wait any any bit of passing rain, as we have done before. The problem is setting up; I sure don't want to do it in the rain.

At this time, I am not yet canceling the match, but it sure is looking iffy. Keep an eye out for further postings here on boomershooter.com later today or tomorrow.

We will be having a Steel Challenge match on Black Friday Nov 28; 6 stages, 6 bays. I will send a match notice for this one tomorrow.
