Steel Challenge Classification System

Just got a letter in the mail for SCSA their new website and classification system. Has anybody been classified yet? How's it working? Makes me want to go out and shoot some SCSA to see where I'm at.

Seems flawed to me. Divisions are not included. By thier system, the only person who shot a steel GM score in production is Eric Grauffel because everyone is compared to the open guys.

What? No divisions? That makes No sense unless of course you want everyone shooting Rimfire Open.

The divisions have not been finalized yet. I talked to Phil the other night and he said they are working on them. What is posted on the site is an example.

I would think this would be easy once the have means of collecting and sorting the data the clubs send in. Once you have the data organized draw 5 lines in the sand and you have your times needed to make whatever division. Unless of course they do it like they do in USPSA where you gotta shoot 4-6 matches and get a high average.

Looks like they wanted to get something..OUT for us to play with, so all ranking is based on OPEN.
I imagine it will be refined as time goes by.

I don't shoot but a couple three steel matches a year but I found myself in "A" class using my G34 and 3Gun holster.
Guess it proves that my not shooting much…works!
