Steel Challenge at OKCGC - 12/20/14

if we get clearance, I figured I'd put them with the rimfire rifles since there's not going to be but 1 or 2 at any given match. No need to create a division for 1 person. If we get more, we can create a separate division for them.

Heh. I beat you asking. I say we need a pistol caliber carbine division!
I know everything needs approval from the higher ups first but why wouldn't a 9mm rifle be good to go? I've never shot mine yet much less put any rounds through it but it can't be any hotter then a .38 super can it?

Can't be hotter than my 9 major for sure & the manual of arms is no different than an AR22.

I doubt there will be an issue but I'd just like to let them know what we're doing

I was going to suggest exactly that in our texts. Don't know if my "carbine" will run the TC bullets I got anyway, maybe by next month I'll have it figured out.

online registration is closed but you'll still be able to sign up at the match.
See you in the morning

My .44 mag carbine with hand loads will hurt a steel at full power loads. Don't ask me how I know this.

For the record, the popper was not AR500

I only have 3 glock 9mm mags, if someone could let me borrow a couple that'd be great. Otherwise ill make do with 3

My hangover won't let me get out of bed yet. Don't save my two spots on a squad.

Good times yesterday. ..cold! But always fun and got to meet a few new faces yesterday.

Thank you to Tony for showing up even when your not feeling good so we could have the match and to everyone that helped setup and tear down

Merry Christmas everyone!

Glad everyone had a good time.
Merry Christmas!!!!!!

For January's match we will allow 9mm/40/45acp pistol caliber carbines.
Nothing against suppressors, but they're a pain in the ass for the RO, so lets leave them aside until after the match.

As always, no steel core ammo & no F/A :- .

So, .44 mag is going to be discriminated against? It is a pistol caliber? I shoot it in a carbine.
