Steel Challenge and One on One Drag a Race this Sun 4-27-14 @ Oil Capital

This Sunday is Steel Challenge at OCR&GC. Sign-in at 9:30am and start shooting at 10:00am. We will be shooting six stages with a round count of around 200. We will have all the normal divisions: Rimfire pistol optic/iron, Centerfire pistol optic /iron, and Rimfire rifle iron/optic. We will also be shooting the One-on-One stage just for fun after the match. Oil Capital Members $10.00, non-members $15.00, and second gun $5.00; LEO's shoot for free. $5 to shoot the One on One drag race.

Oil Capital is raffling a Remington 783 rifle with 200 tickets. Each ticket is $5. We'll have them available at the match.

If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match (please don't put targets on the ground; we take them apart as we load them on to the trailer- much easier than picking them off the ground.) But no pressure if you want to leave or can't help. John Oxford did some modifications to our trailer that will make set up much easier.

Remember we have plaques for 1st place winners.

As long as the weather holds out, we'll run the same stages that will be set at the J.M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum Benefit Match at USSA the weekend after our match:
Five to Go, Roundabout, Pendulum, Accelerator, Showdown, and, of course, Smoke and Hope.

We are still planning to set up for our match on Sunday.
But given the weather forecast for 90% probability of rain, keep an eye out for emails from me in case we decide to cancel.
Although the rain is not forecasted to arrive in our area until the afternoon. So we are still be on.
Will keep you posted.

The weather forecast has been improving.
And given our awesome shelter at Oil Capital for any occasional sprinkle, I see no reason not to continue with our plan to have a great match tomorrow.
