SPECIAL MATCH JANUARY 29th

I might be in for Sunday being my first match ever. Don't know what class though. Will need some direction.

Glad to have you! We have new shooters every match, so you likely won't be the only one.

The division you shoot is based in your gun or capacity, but it's the least important aspect of the match.

The important things are covered in a new shooter orientation given before the match starts. Three biggies are:

1) its a cold range; guns are empty and holstered

2) Don't draw or handle your gun until told to so

3) keep the muzzle pointed at the backstop

4) unless shooting, finger is off the trigger

Don't worry about shooting first (you won't) or from concealment.

Be ready to have some fun!

don't worry, everyone is helpful, also new shooters will be at the "back" of the shooting list, so you will get to see lots of people shoot first to give you an idea of what is going on..

I will be coming back for this one, cuz I miss you guys and shooting.

I probably will be shooting my Browning HP so that would be hi-cap I suppose (13+1). But maybe I will opt for the snub .38. Or I could shoot the 1911 and be low-cap.

Which division will have the least entries?

Tally ho!

Kevin

The Revolver or Snubby categories will have the fewest entries. I believe the last match had one revolver/snubby total.

You can download your HP mags to ten and shoot that in lo-cap.

I may have a new shooter show up, perhaps just to watch. He has a .38 snub and thinks they're not very accurate. I may shoot one to show he can shoot it at this match.

Or I may shoot PDLL......or maybe....

Round count, as stated previously, is 84 rds minimum. (70 for 5-shot guns)

For the new shooters, no more than 6 (or 5) rounds are required at any position, unless there is a mandatory reload.

Man, I'm going to have a lot of questions. I look forward to my first match. Who would of thought that after buying my first gun last month that I would even think about shooting a match? Nervous and excited all in one!
