Well I am going to be starting OU this summer and I am eager to learn more than I already have about how to become a great shot! I am currently in JROTC and have been on the air rifle range multiple times. I'm pretty decent for the limited experience I've had but I also understand that air rifles and the real deal are two totally separate things. I am extremely willing to learn anything and I would love all the help I can get. I am also willing to put in a lot of time into and money. As long as it fits around my ROTC schedule (since I will be in that as well) I would love it! I just want to get all the practice I can get. The only downfall in this situation is that I'm 17 until August. Does anyone have any suggestions on starting guns? Good ranges? Courses of instruction I should take? Etc.

Welcome to Oklahoma, and BoomerShooter! The indoor matches at heartland on Sunday evenings would be a great place to shoot. If folks know in advance you would be attending, they would most likely loan or share a gun.

Welcome to BoomerShooter. There were some guys trying to get an OU shooting team started. Sounds like scholastic steel challenge is pretty popular.

Let us know if we can help. OKC gun club has some air rifle matches if I'm not mistaken. What you want to shoot us USPSA and 3 gun!
