SOLD:

Sig 2022 chambered in 9mm (9?19mm Parabellum)
Has SIGLITE Night Sights
It was manufactured on Feb. 11, 2011
Comes with all the factory stuff (box, manual, etc)
Comes with an extra backstrap to help change the size of the grip
Original owner claims only a few boxes of ammo was put through it.
I put 100 rounds more through it, no problems.
Excellent Condition

I bought this a few weeks ago, but I just can't get usde to the slide stop. I'm not a fan of big slide stops that can be used as slide releases.

$370

I'm located in the Simpsonville area and can meet in Simpsonville or Greenville for a transaction

Trades I'm interested in:
1911 chambered in 9mm
Sig 226 chambered in 9mm
Sig 229 chambered in 9mm
Sig 239
CZ 75B chambered in 9mm
Beretta 92
Taurus PT92
Glock 19
Glock 17
... maybe something else as long as its chambered in 9 Parabellum
I will add cash on top of my trade if your gun is worth more than my Sig.

I'm not currently interested in anything that Ruger has or any Springfield XDs. Thanks, though.

can you please explain what that means? or am i missing something? never had a sig

As you may have seen, some manufactures design there slide stops to be used as slide releases too. Sometimes the manufactures design the slide stop/release to be big and long so that the shooter can actuate it with a flick of the thumb. Guns with big slide stop/releases sometimes require the shooter to modify their grip.

If your right handed, you have to make sure the thumb on your right had isn't hindering the slide stop from doing its job on an empty mag, or inadvertently bumping the slide stop/release to cause it to lock the slide back when shooting.

I've trained for a thumbs forward grip where my thumbs are just below the slide. If It's a 1911 with a huge thumb safety, I ride my right thumb ONTOP of the safety.

I've tried thumbs out and I just can't get used to it, it feel good to me.

Also I've trained to slingshot the slide when reloading. I've seen, more than a few times, where the slide catch on the slide of handguns get messed up because the user was using the slide stop as a slide release.

Although, if the gun has a slide stop designed as a slide release, reloading seems to take less time.

Anyway, I don't like a lot of controls on a gun and I don't like big controls. If there must be controls, I like them very flat and non obtrusive for my thumbs forward grip. Most models of Sigs have flush or recessed controls so the shooter can use whatever grip he/she wants.
