1943 Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine (7.62x54r).
If you're looking for a beautiful example of an M38, this is it!
All parts are stamped forced matched (no prefix, common for refurbed rifles).
The stock is an actual M38 hardwood stock (not the m44 style with bayo cutout) and has a wrist crossbolt, which is uncommon and usually found on laminated stocks.
The shellac is beautiful, not the flaky mess you so often encounter on these Mosins.
HAS NOT BEEN REFINISHED or "bubba'd."
This rifle IS counterbored, bore shot below.
I'm located in southern Greenville county (simpsonville/piedmont/mauldin area) and I have an 03 C&R ffl.
