Sig stops taking rifle orders.

Sig Sauer has stopped taking orders for rifles. This was from Summit Gunbroker who is at SHOT Show. Get em while you can.

Is this because of their backlog.....Or, are they afraid of the changes in the laws on "Assault Weapons"

I hope they have not turned tail and ran....

A nephew of mine and my niece's fiance both work at Sig Sauer in Exeter New Hampshire. Maybe I can get some info on their situation these days.

Okay...

Got some info from the production floor. Sig Sauer is behind on orders, which is to be expected since it has been this way since fall. They are not doing the painted firearms at this point to save time, just black and browns I guess. However, they are not going to be selling Dealer Direct- only to big places for LARGE bulk orders. This will probably be going on for a while, I might be able to get some clearer info from my other source in shipping/receiving. So, things may be different in the middle of spring perhaps.

I will do my best to keep getting more info and will let y'all know as soon as I hear anything more. Hope this was of some help!

I was on the Stag Arms website and they have a notice posted that they have stopped taking orders on rifles, upper halves and lowers until March. I'm hoping by then this nonsense will have calmed down some and prices and demand will be starting to go back to normal.
