Left the shower cap on at the Single Stack Classic.
You guessed it; At 'make ready' I shredded it.
It took a moment to pull & tear it all off (without sweeping myself) while the RO(Troy) howled in delight.
At least my draw was solid.

you should have taken it off at the hotel after your shower. ;)

Seriously, I'm not sure what a shower cap is in relation to shooting, but I am guessing it was a plastic bag over your weapon?

I shot on Thursday in lovely weather.

Yes, we cover out pistols with shower caps at matches. Particularly if the weather is bad or there is alot of dust in the air. I had never felt the need to do this until last year's Double Tap (snow and mud). It also came in handy this year in Las Vegas at Nationals (desert).

Shower cap isnt as cool as one of those high-speed pistol covers, but it works. And let's face it....Robert is from Arkansas and I from Okiehoma. The shower cap is appropriate. Now if we can find use for the duct tape.

I am waiting for someone to say "You wouldn't have to worry about that if you were carrying a Glock"

Then we get to see the wrath of TheBearcat...............

Actually, I was holding out on commenting on this.
Muzzleloader hunters will use condoms on the barrel during wet hunting conditions.
Makes sense to use a shower cap, if your staying in a hotel, and they give them away.

That is because you guys shoot "guns" and not rifles. I don't want to know what type you prefer either.

Personally I keep my muzzle loading rifle in a case, or sleeve, like the mountain men of olde.
