Shorter follower for M2 and Nordic +5 tube

With my Nordic +5 tube I can only get 8+1 on some ammo combos. I don't really want to cut the spring as it is perfect for Winchesters (gets me 8+1 with great spring pressure). Is there a shortened follower I can buy? All I need is probably another 1/3" and I should be able to go 8+1 on all loads.

Thoughts?

How long does your spring stick out when u take the end cap off?

Is that a 21" barrel gun? I run the XL cap that I bought from out sponsor/moderator Make Ready Pro Shop. It sticks out the perfect length with my extended black Briley choke installed.

It is a 21". I need to measure the spring when uncapped. And yes, it is a factory follower.

I think i'll just buy the XL cap from Make Ready and go from there. The XL is supposed to add 3/4" and I shouldnt need more than that.

1 in the pipe and 7 in the tube...for now. The extended cap will solve my issue. If not, I'll clip the spring. The instructions that came with the tube stated that the spring may need to be cut down.

I'm running a +7 on my M2 and I still had to cut about 10" off the end of the spring.

12 to 14" is what I go with. Once it gets below 12" I move it to the practice pile. You are proba my at 16" or more if you can't get 8 in it.

Ok thanks. I have been trying to decide if I wanted to chop mine down or not. I think I will just keep it. How do u like your 26 with the +7?

It's not too bad really. You can feel the extra weight towards the end, but it's not un-managable. I'll probably keep it this long unless I decide to go with a shorter mag tube.
