S&W Mod 1000 or Mossburg Mod 1000 20gage auto shotgun

Does anyone have either of the above........I need one that will cycle............I have a S%W that won't cycle and I am not going to pay more than the gun is worth to fix.

Mine was bought in 1998 in Florida as a back up gun on a dove shoot........Never cycled more then 3 times...................S&W and Mossburg are same guns made in Japan

What I actually need is the gas piston and valve and possibly the gas tube assy.

The most common problem with these guns is poor cleaning and over oiling. Parts can be purchases from gun parts corp in west Hurley ny
Or from s&w and lone star.

Google mossberg 1000 and you will find several pages that will help you cure the problem

id say it could be remedied if its not been fired a lot because it wont cycle.

just an adjustment or seal that was never right.

I am looking for a un pitted piston, clean valve and a clean un pitted gas tube........Everything else is peachy good like new..........These shot guns were $350 or less when new...Probably $200 or less now, so you can see why I don't want to put much cash into it..................New parts from online will run over a hundred...Local gunsmith might fix it for near $150.....

Was hoping some one had a parts gun.
