I own a CMD, I really like it after a rough start. 1 st was replaced on warranty, replacement had to go back on warranty. I am glad I stuck with it cause it's a real shooter. I own others, Colts, Kimber, DW, Citadel, SA. Love them all. You can't beat a 1911 gun or a S&W revolver. I really like the Ruger 10/22 rifles.

Which Commander do you have? What was the warranty problems? I know for a fact that the Ruger CS took care of them quickly. They always do. Even if you have to do it twice. I have found that some of the times the original problems are that the new gun is shipped in not as clean of a condition as they should be. I have always been taught, my dad, to take a new gun apart and check it out and clean and lube. Sometimes with many manufacturers they ship in less than pristine condition.

Really love my full-sized SR1911. Installed aftermarket sights and Hogue grips makes it even better.
Pics please.

For both of mine I got the finger grips installed. Made a difference for me at the range, for the good. My big hands needed more of something to grab on to.

I am looking for great results from the Koenig Competition I a going to buy because the grip looks "fuller" to me.

New pic with the finger grips

I have found them very nice for the money. I have a SR1911 I bought in 2012. Used to have 2 but sold one to a friend. Have three of the SR1911-CMDs and they have been great. On top a CMD from 2013 with new grips. In the middle a CMD-NW from 2014 (all steel) from 2014 and on the bottom a CMD-LW from 2015.

The last SR1911 I bought was a SR1911-10 in the fall of 2017. No problems so far with it.

On a Ruger Mark III 22/45 appropriately decked out for back yard squirrel assassination. Shhhh.... don't tell the Mossad.
