Range time

Nrphew and I heading to Boggy Head in the morning. (Sunday)...

Just mostly shooting the .22's...Maybe the AR...Maybe more...

Should be therearound 10:00 am

I'm bringing a friend who's introducing his nephew to shooting. We plan on being there early Sat AM. Starting w/ 22's. I'll be the tall lanky guy w "Big Futz." If you think we might cross paths, bring one of your Ceiners; I'd like to check it out as I am in the market for a conversion.
 
Went to twin ponds for the first time this past sat at 7:30 am. Had a nice time but is that place always as messy? Trash was all over the place and its was disgusting. There were 4 shooters out there and we spent about 10 mins cleaning up the large stuff.

Unfortunately there are people who go out there that are litter bugs of the worst sort.
They take the attitude that "someone gets paid to clean it up".
The Forestry service that provides that range and many others is woefully short on funds.
I don't think I need to say anything about our current administration and "his" attitude regarding people like "us".
All things considered I think they do a good job on the ranges.

A couple of times a year they ask for volunteers to come out and help clean Boggy Head and Twin Ponds.
Many of us from the forum go help clean up.
When we have a ShootzenFest we always clean up before we leave.
 
Went to the SCDNR James O. Thomason Firing Range (Spartanburg)

Never shoot into a colvert before, kinda cool.

you should have come to Philsons. i met Bigfutz and his friend and Andy there. you were invited in post above.

i think those colverts are agrevating. ive never been with the auto and i dont think they will let me.

i shot my first 300 short win mag. two shots at 100 yds and 2 hits on clay pidgeons. it would be nice to shoot that at 200 through the pipes.
 
I don't have to worry about going to the range. :mrgreen:

Yes, we went on Saturday.
My friend came up from Clemson to take his .308 out to 200 yards, otherwise we would have been at Philsons. Next time :D
 
Went to the range with bro, had fun till 2 people insisted to shoot 3 TVs he brought with him, Group told them not to do it, it lasted about 2 hrs, and as i was driving off they took them back out from behind the Jeep the arrived in. What a waste..
 
I saw Biganimal at the range Saturday...

I took my Nephew and Neice for a little .22 shooting...

My Neice fell inlove with the 10/22's...

We had a great time...

Funny I was at boggy creek today, my first time there actually I saw the TVs as well.

I will say it is the same as twin ponds, but twin ponds is ALOT more trashed.
 
I got my wife a new RIA 1911 in .38 Super and she is dying to put a few boxes downrange so I am taking her to Boggy Head today...
 
Headed to Indian Creek in Newberry on Saturday morning to sight in my new scope on my AR, anyone else have any plans for saturday. I would love to meet some forum members.
 
Nephew and I will be going to Boggy Head Saturday Morning...It will be a hot one, but, shooting is shooting...Should be there around 10:00 am.

Got a new AR-15 to try out...then, the .22's are on...
