I am doing pretty well with the TACCOM Quad Loads. I ran them for the first time in a 150 round shotgun match a couple weeks ago. Dropped two shells all day. The loads probably where a little slower than these but I am pretty fast at it on a full speed run now.
After I shot this video I tried to work it down to 4 seconds but started dropping deuces like a SOB pushing that hard. All in all the quads has become a lot easier than I expected. I have probably practiced for well a good 4-5 hours.

I haven't tried the Quads from Carbon Arms yet but these TACCOM units are great!

Man I cant wait to get my benelli back! You killed it jesse!

In a match though I imagine youll burn the piss out of your thumb with that over barrel grip!
Yeah, that's pretty damn quick!

I have that problem with burning my hand doing a stronghand load-2 in a match. I'd wear a glove but I also load weakhand sometimes. Maybe someone will invent a cool-touch barrel shroud that doesn't add weight or affect line of sight....

Or my left hand will eventually lose the ability to feel pain :)

I'm gonna try to cut up one of my foam butt stock cheek deals with the adhesive on the back and put it on the left side of the barrel.

You're not missing anything. That ending was a moment of silence for my deceased man mountain caddys.
Ain't that the truth, unless we have to start crawling through some real skinny tubes to shoot mine are going up for sale...

Jesse you're a beast man. Nice ! I was playing with my Taccom quads yesterday and the one issue I kept wondering about was the shell retention. I had a few drop out while moving (turning fast) have you had any issues like that?

Very nice.
How are you holding them? across the thumb pad? It looks like you are doing the pair closest to the blade edge of your hand first?

Retention is an issue. First step is to find a balance between too loose and too tight. next make extra sure the shells do not come in contact with anything. body parts, props, firearms, ect. the key to a good reload is a good grab. if something jars your shells your reload will suffer. I put a foam backing on my loaders to make the shells extra stable.

My usual test for all my gear to make sure things are on my body solid is to do a version of the "truffle shuffle" to some degree with a few jumps tossed in for good measure. I had a complete and total yard sale yesterday when doing it while I thoguht the shells were "tight". Maybe I am doing something incorrecty but the result wasn't pretty as 12 out of 16 rounds hit the ground. Is there any way you could show a close up of what you did with the foam?

I also noticed that I think I will have to do some work on my versa-max front grip to relieve a spot where shells keep hitting as my fists of thunder try to load four at a time :p

I would t sell them all just yet. The one negative I've sen with quads or dueces is their us no good way to load one and hold the others for another load. Not great for select a slug either. If I need one shell. I'm going to my weak hand caddys.

They definitely don't hold shells line a traditional caddy. Once I'm In the hole to shoot I out them in and then i dont do anything like bump the tailgate or bend over. You can heat them up and bend them tighter too.

Good question. I don't know exactly how I'm holding them well enough to explain or teach it. My good buddy's Jake Burki and James Darby taught me how to drop deuces. You pretty much just grab and yank hard and fast. If you are cautious and slow it will just be slow and you can still get a bad grab. Ill rip sone shells out of the caddy and take a pic this weekend.

The shells closest to your wrist always go in the gun first no matter if you're weak handing or string handing it. Those shells are barely being held onto.

Well done sir. Have you pretty much decided strong hand is the way to go? I didn't like throwing the shotgun all over the place with weak hand quad load and strong hand is more versatile for staying portloader strong.

looking good man! How is it on the move?
I was hitting it on the run pretty consistently at the last practice session. The cool part is that I was running full speed while loading rather than walking fast while loading then running once finished like I would weak hand.

I liked strong hand at first because it seemed like the gun was moving less which would be faster but after toying with rolling the gun over for weak hand it actually feels more natural. Feels like bringing the gun up from port arms. I actually get a better mount everytime weak hand. Strong hand you have to push the gun out then back into your shoulder and it usually feels like its in the wrong spot.

Grabbing the shells weak hand doesn't feel as natural since its the weak hand. But I'm sure it's just like when you start traditional weak hand. Once you get your tongue right or bite your lip like Shaun it's probably easy.

My goal is to be able to go both ways. It's hard to hold enough shells on your belt. I have 16 on me in the video and I could probably get 8 more in a useable spot but after that its gayass chest rig time. So I'm wanting to load the first 12 strong then the next 12 weak hand once the barrel is hot.
