I saw a classified ad for a production glock 34 with this trigger

Why is that trigger legal for production but the apex forward set sear kit for an m&p not production legal?

I didn't think you could change anything externally like the trigger itself. Just internals???

But I haven't read the rules for a few years.

Its not legal for production and the first sentence on their website even states this. Making it legal for limited and open.

Due to popular demand I now have two Competition Triggers which are
designed for use in divisions that do not allow external modifications.
